Tactical Three Gun Match

Our FIRST tactical 3-Gun Match! Test your skills with your primary rifleshotgun, and pistol. A blend of tactical and competition shooting with a focus on care under fire and fine motor skills under stress.

 

This will be a scored match with 3 stages.

• Stages will involve multiple targets at various distances and firing positions, using the VTAC barricade and other obstacles.

• You will shoot each stage twice, and your best run will be used for scoring.

 

We will have a cold range during the match. All firearms must remain unloaded at all times until directed to load by the Range Officer (RO).

Max is limited to 15.

Welcome Letter and Important Information for Your Course.

THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN ARRIVING ON THE RANGE: Please keep all firearms in their cases or holsters until we are on the firing line. For everyone’s safety, we will commit to NOT handling guns for any reason unless on the firing line.

FACILITIES: Cowtown is a rustic range complex without potable water. The Porta-Potties are cleaned regularly, but there are no other facilities nearby.

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes, hiking shoes, or sneakers.
  • Comfortable shirt with a closed collar. (no V-neck or tank top)
  • Ball cap, hat with a visor or brim, eye protection, and ear protection. 
  • Sunscreen, water, snacks, and any necessary medications.

 

FIREARM/AMMO: (Loaner Shotguns available on site)

  • Pistol and 100 FMJ ammo
  • Rifle and 100 FMJ ammo ( NO GREEN TIP)
  • Bring your own Shotgun and 100 shotgun shells, including:                                           (Buckshot, birdshot, slugs)(copper pellets are ok, but can not be used on steel)

HOLSTERS:

Please bring your own, or we can provide one, depending on the gun.

BELT:

Good quality leather or nylon belt, 1.5 to 2 inches wide.

SCHEDULE: We will begin with a brief introduction on housekeeping issues, sign-in, and a safety briefing. After that, we will discuss our goals and inspect your gear. Our top priority is to create a safe training environment while evaluating your gun accuracy and safety. We will maintain a relaxed yet challenging pace. Our second goal is to have fun! Finally, we will have a brief debrief to review your experience in the class. We’re excited to see you there.
