This block focuses on efficient rifle movement. We will engage from 7 yards in fast-paced drills on multiple targets and work on the Check drill, transitioning from primary to secondary weapons in case of a malfunction or if the rifle goes empty. We will conduct rundown drills starting at 10 yards, then turn and run to 15, 25, 30, 35, and 45 yards. We will cover shooting from different positions and what position is best for each engagement.

Pistols are welcome, but this is primarily a rifle block.

POI Include:

  • Rifle setup, sling setup and usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Transitions from rifle to pistol and back.
  • Reloading drills on a timer to beat your fastest reload.
  • Height over bore-how close to use it; when does it go away?
  • Transitioning to close targets, then farther and farther away at all angles.
  • Stretching the gun out to 100 yards.
